An article from the Rocky Mountain News suggests that gardening as a leisure activity could be in the decline. The demands of a quickening pace of life plus the limited size of garden plots is keeping people away from gardening as a leisure activity.
It’s not as though people don’t want gardens, they just don’t want to do it themselves. They want all the outdoor entertaining which includes a low-maintenance garden and are more prepared for contractors to do it for them.
